In 1997, the County ejoyed a few days of snow, which was enough for the
people of Winnsboro to build a few snowmen. Snow usually closes the
schools and government offices for about a day, more so that everyone
can enjoy the white flakes than for safety reasons.

powdery snow. April holds the highest percentage of sunshine with 69
percent of the days sunny, while January registers the lowest at 57
percent of sunshine for the month.
