Welcome to Fairfield County Chamber of Commerce

Our mission: "To Promote the Economic Development of Fairfield County, to Better Serve the Needs of our Community, Its' Citizens, and Businesses."

Fairfield County is impacting the midlands of South Carolina through industry, local organizations, schools, recreation and history.

Located between Columbia, SC and Charlotte, NC via I-77, Fairfield County is conveniently located for industrial and residential growth. Industries in Fairfield county provide over 5,000 jobs to the people of the midlands. Jobs ranging from truck manufacturing to pulpwood production, plastics to poultry, tire cord to clothing, computer components to electric power production to agriculture.

A quality education can be obtained through Fairfield County public schools or through the privately operated Richard Winn Academy. Both schools offer a wide range of opportunities through college preparatory, general and vocational education. A quality sports program is also available through both Richard Winn and Fairfield Central. Each school won football championships in 1996 and 1997..

With Lake Wateree on the eastern side of Fairfield County and Lake Monticello on the western side, these lakes offer over 20,000 surface acres for fishing, boating and wildlife habitat. With its lakes and abundance of deer and turkey, Fairfield County is truly a dream come true for the sportsperson.

Fairfield County is located in the Old English District of South Carolina and is rich with history. Come walk the streets of Winnsboro and Ridgeway. See homes built before the Revolutionary War. See where General Cornwallis spent his "winter of discontent", visit our museum, shops and restaurants or ride the train at the South Carolina Railroad Museum.
